      Degas favorite subjects included scenes from the world of entertainment, the ballet and later from everyday life. Whilst often associated with the Impressionist Movement Degas developed his own very distinctive style. However, in contrast to his impressionist colleagues, Edgar Degas preferred to work in a studio. He made sketches of his subjects on the spot and then created the painting later in his studio.

Beautiful item ! exactly the way it was pictured and it is even more impressive than any picture posted. You really cannot appreciate this without seeing it in person. The paint literally leaps off the canvas and provides a very dynamic experience.

The painting is fantastic, just having trouble deciding where to hang it as it looks good everywhere. The painting was very well packaged and arrived in good time. I was concerned that it was coming from quite a long way away and might get damaged but I will have no concerns again. I love the painting so much, I am looking at purchasing another.
